We are looking for a teacher who can lead 2 half day sessions: morning from 8:45-11:30 am, afternoon from 12:30-3:15 pm. There are a total of 17 children in each session and 3 adults per session. Qualifications include either an Associate’s or Bachelor’s  Degree in Education or child related field along with Montessori Certification. The position is from Sept-June 2018-19.

 

Early Intervention Special Education Teacher: Love Early Intervention? Tired of traveling all over the county? Teacher Aides for Early Intervention Program Are you looking for a part-time classroom position? If you have two and half hours or more to spare daily and enjoy working with young children with special needs then this position could be for you. We are looking for Teacher Aides to support specific students in our early intervention program. Ideally you will have experience in the early childhood field. We will provide on the job training. Substitute Early Intervention Special Education teachers needed year around. Applicants should be available to work on an as needed basis during the school year.  Special Education teachers must have appropriate license and a certification to work with children, i.e. NYS Teacher Certification in Special Education (if received before 02/04) or NYS Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Special Education/Students with Disabilities (birth–grade 2) and be registered with an NPI number and HCS number. Teacher Assistants and Substitutes The Alcott School is looking for teacher assistants and teacher assistant substitutes to work full days or half days at all of our locations. Substitutes are scheduled as needed and are paid on a per diem basis. At our Dobbs Ferry location, we need lunch teacher aids to work for about two hours each Friday. If any nannies or au-pairs are interested, please let them know about this opportunity.
